What is the best F1 team? Well, we know we have our favourites… But for this blog, we aren’t talking about the teams we personally support (and pray for every race weekend).
Our experts have scoured the web to discover the facts, stats, and data to truly know what F1 team is the best. We’ll be comparing who has the most Grand Prix wins, which Formula One team has the most pole positions, and who has won the most championships.
In our eyes, the more information we have, the better conclusion we can get to.
So, let’s discover what is the best team in Formula One!
What Is the Best F1 Team?
Of course, we have to start with the Constructors Championship because obviously. Every team in Formula One strives for this lustrous trophy as that way, no one can claim they’re not the best.
Which F1 Team Has Won the Most Constructors Championships?
The points for this award are based on the finishing positions of both team drivers in every race. The team that has the most points at the end of the season is then awarded the Constructors Championship.

In terms of the Constructors Championship wins Ferrari is the best F1 team - by a fair margin too!
It’s nice to see some former teams on there too - who probably drove on the old F1 tracks, too. They may be long gone, but they certainly aren’t forgotten.
Will Hamilton, Leclerc, and the rest of the Ferrari team continue to add to their winning streak or will Williams and McLaren take top spot?

Ferrari is also top of this league table! They’re like the Lewis Hamilton of drivers. Maybe it was fate that Hamilton decided to join The Prancing Horse. Ferrari is one of the oldest Formula One teams, so it does make sense for them to be in the top spot.
McLaren is slowly (but surely) closing the gap though… will Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri be able to keep Hamilton and Verstappen out of the top spot? If they do, it’s a win-win for all! Wins for the boys, and wins for McLaren and its owners - what more could you ask for?

The Country That Has the Most Grand Prix Wins
We thought it may be interesting to also see which country has won the most Grand Prix titles.

Here at MysteryPitstop, we’re thrilled to see Great Britain at the top of this list - not that we’re biased or anything as a UK-based F1 collectibles company…
However, they do have over double the number of constructors than Italy in second place. Does it seem fair? Maybe not. But that’s part of the game!
Which Constructor Has the Most Pole Positions?
You may find yourself asking, what exactly is a constructor in Formula 1? Great question. An F1 constructor is just a fancy name for the company that designs and builds Formula One cars, and ultimately, the name of the team that enters the race.
Some examples include McLaren, Red Bull, Ferrari, and Williams, to name just a few!

There’s Ferrari…. At the top of the list… Again… Some things just never change.
However, what is impressive is that Michael Schumacher appears twice on this list! It’s not really that surprising considering the fact that he’s one of the best F1 drivers of all time, but twice is still an achievement to be celebrated.
Especially considering it is for two very different teams: Ferrari and Benetton. 1st and 9th position - not bad going!
So, Which F1 Team Is the Greatest?
Now we’re asking the big-hitting questions.
From the data we collected, we can conclude that Ferrari is the best F1 team. They’ve secured the top spot at hundreds of podiums - many of which are pole position titles. With Lewis Hamilton (spoiler: the winner in our blog ‘Who Has Won the Most F1 Championships?’) now part of The Prancing Horse family, it seems like they will be unstoppable!
But how will this season go?
Our founder, Matt Cole, says:
“Ferrari has always been a fan favourite, but I personally think McLaren will be the strongest team this year.
“They’ve started strong and I expect them to build on last season by providing a championship-winning car.”
