As you can see, there are no new races for the 2025 F1 season… so no new old race tracks!
2025 is an important year for F1 as it is the 75th anniversary of the sport!, On that, Stefano Domenicali, CEO and President of Formula 1, said:
“2025 will be a special year as we celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the FIA Formula One World Championship, and it’s that legacy and experience that allows us to deliver such a strong calendar.
“Once again, we’ll visit 24 incredible venues around the world, delivering top-class racing, hospitality, and entertainment, which will be enjoyed by millions of fans worldwide.
“We’re grateful to the FIA, our promoters, host city partners, and all the related ASNs for their commitment and support in delivering this schedule and securing what promises to be another fantastic year for Formula 1.
“I would also like to pay tribute to our F1 teams and drivers, the heroes of our sport, and our fans around the world for continuing to follow Formula 1 with such incredible enthusiasm.”
Things to Note About the 2025 F1 Race Calendar
F1 race organisers have designed the race to take into consideration numerous holidays and geographical restrictions.
Ramadan
In 2025, Ramadan takes place in March. Due to this, the Saudi Arabian and Bahrain Grands Prix will happen during April.
Race Geography
It’s no secret that the 2024 race calendar has made it tricky for F1 teams to get to the different locations in time.
This is why the 2025 F1 race calendar has had some updates, such as:
- Japan following Australia and China
- European races over the summer
- Qatar and Abu Dhabi following the Americas
On this, Mohammed Ben Sulayen, FIA President, said:
“The 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship calendar, approved by the World Motor Sport Council, is a further illustration of our collective mission of meeting sustainability objectives through the regionalisation of events.
“While our focus is on the overall stability of Formula 1, we also have a shared duty to the environment and to the health and well-being of travelling staff.”
Pre-season Testing
This year’s pre-season testing will be on 26-28th February in Bahrain.
Where Do the Sprints Fall in the New Season F1 Calendar?
In 2025 there will be six sprints hosted in the following venues:
- Shanghai
- Miami
- Spa
- Austin
- Sao Paulo
- Qatar
Some of the best F1 drivers have won the 100km sprint, including Max Verstappen, Valtteri Bottas, and Oscar Piastri.
